Toronto performing arts producer Ariel Fielding had the opportunity to work
at one of North America’s largest cultural festivals this past summer, when
she travelled to the Smithsonian Folklife Festival in Washington, D.C. for a
Metcalf Fellowship in Community and Online Engagement.

Join us for a case study of Ariel’s experience of creating and implementing
the Festival’s first social media and community engagement strategies. Find
out what challenges she faced in carrying out this project, and take a look
at what she learned about building live and online audiences

Whether your organization has an established social media presence or is
just starting to use social media for marketing purposes; whether you have a
fully developed community engagement strategy, or are just beginning to
build and diversify your audience through social media and other means, this
is an opportunity engage in discussion and to exchange knowledge with your
peers.
